HEXAMETAPHOSPHATE CRYSTAL CARTRIDGES
REDUCES SCALE, CORROSION AND IRON IN WATER
Pentair‡ Pentek‡ PCC Series Filter Cartridges contain hexametaphosphate that dissolves slowly in water to inhibit scale and rust build-up. These cartridges are available in four feeder sizes with variable volumes of phosphate crystals. They are effective for treating scale, corrosion and iron problems for up to six months at various flow rates and feed concentrations. The PCC212 and PCC218 Cartridges are designed to fit Pentek #10 Standard or Slim Line Filter Housings. The PCC-1 Cartridge is designed to fit in #10 Standard Filters only. The PCC-106 is an insert element that is placed in the center core of the cartridge. It is designed for use with standard 10" and 20" radial flow, sediment and carbon block double open-ended filter cartridges. This type of treatment is recommended for use with ice machines, coffee and vending machines, food service equipment, water heaters, air conditioning equipment and many other types of water processing equipment.

NOTES: Pentek PCC212 Cartridge is not recommended for main line applications with flow rates exceeding 3.0 gpm (11.4 lpm). With steamers, the water should be flushed daily.
WARNING: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsage or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
CAUTION: Eye irritant. Contains sodium calcium hexametaphosphate. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of eye contact, flush with water for 15 minutes, seek medical attention. Keep out of reach of children.
Scale: Hardness particles are kept separated so they cannot precipitate and form deposits when heated; maximum hardness 15 gpg
Corrosion: A protective coating is formed on all metal surfaces, safeguarding against acidity/alkalinity, hardness, chloride and other factors which affect the corrosion of water equipment and pipes; pH range 6.5-9.0
Iron: Dissolved iron, up to 1 ppm, is kept suspended in solution (sequestered), preventing dissolved iron from precipitating, which would cause staining and discoloration
